Hey guys, So, a couple of you expressed an interest in participating in the original angel fiction writing project I mentioned in my last post. That gives me the warm fuzzies because you can never have enough angel!fic. :DOk, so before I set out the basic guidelines for the project, I have a couple of questions. Mainly, if we are to go ahead with this and attempt to publish our work in a book of short stories, how would you prefer we do it? Through a publishing agency, where (if our book is chosen to be published) it will be made professionally and distributed to bookstores in several different countries. Or would you prefer to self-publish? That would involve using our own money to get our stories into print and made into a booklet and then we'd have to find a way to market it online. Maybe not as glamourous, but probably more realistic, depending on how the project goes.Or does anyone have any other ideas? Once we've worked this out, I'll make a post explaining the project guidelines. :)-- Kye.
I agree that the second option is a bit more realistic, unless you know of a publishing agency that won't mind/is looking for angel fiction. I personally don't. However, I don't think the first option should be tossed aside though. (Right, master of the obvious, I am.) And, you're looking for opinions, aren't you? I would vote for the first, just to try it. If there isn't any interest from any publisher then I say go on with self-publishing.
That's pretty much what I was thinking, too. It wouldn't hurt to try professional publishers, and if there's no interest, then we always have self-publishing to fall back on. :)btw, pretty icon you have there. :D
The whole image is pretty actually....
